Is CISSP certification suitable for beginners?
1. Not suitable as it requires at least 5 years of experience as a cybersecurity professional. ISC2 specifies eight security disciplines:
- Security and Risk Management
- Asset security
- Security Architecture and Engineering
- Communications and Network Security
- Identity and access management
- Security assessment and testing
- Safe operation
- Software Development Security
Experience in at least two fields must be accumulated to meet CISSP certification requirements. They may also apply for ISC2-accredited four-year college degrees and other certificates, which may count as one year of experience.
